Ming trained with the Army Medical College of China. She took extensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine in China.
Ming has worked in Traditional Chinese Medicine in the UK since 1992 and has a wide range of experience, developing a unique style combining Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine in her clinical work. She is a visiting Professor at Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China.
Ming has built up a successful practice with clinics in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dubai.
In 2005 she received a professorship from Shandong University in China. Ming received an Honorary Doctorate from Edinburgh Napier University UK in 2007 as she had demonstrated leadership and other attributes valued by Edinburgh Napier University who found her to be distinguished in her field of expertise.
Ming lectures to physiotherapists, GPs and at international health conferences. She has also worked regularly in Dubai since 2006 and in 2007 was one of six guest speakers at the Arab Health 2007 Conference.
In April 2018, Ming spoke on 'Chinese Medicine for Physical Wellness' as part of the University of Edinburgh's Wellness-Based Networks to Develop Successful Research Projects.
